Rubber Grass Protection Mats

For Turf Protection

Rubber grass protection mat

Rubber grass protection mats are highly shock and noise absorbant. They provide a brilliant solution to protecting the ground surface and promoting healthy grass plant growth, Rubber Grass is perfect for use in pathways, as over time, frequent foot fall can kill the grass as well as displacing the soil.

The unique design of Rubber Grass enables the soil beneath to get all of the sunlight and water it needs to grow thick, healthy grass. The carefully designed holes in Rubber Grass encourage grass to grow through them. This means that after a few months of growth, the grass could hide the appearance of the mats completely.

As Rubber Safety Mats

Rubber Grass is a rubber safety mat manufactured from recycled rubber which aids in creating soft and safe ground to increase protection from injury. The mats are mainly used on grass, however they can be used in many other environments that require shock absorbance, anti-slip surfaces, or protection for the floor underneath.

Rubber Grass’ softness does not fluctuate in a huge range of weather conditions. When it comes to safety surfacing, rubber is the right choice and boasts many benefits over alternative options such as PVC, which hardens in cold conditions and offers little protection against slips, cuts, and grazes.

Critical Fall Height up to 1.75 m

Impact absorbing surfaces with a Critical Fall Height (CFI) value which is greater than or equal to the free fall height of the equipment should be used whenever the free fall height is greater than 600 mm. Rubber grass mats have been tested according to the method outlined in the BS EN 1177:2017. The rubber grass mats achieved a Critical Fall Height of 1.75 m when laid over established grass.

Critical Fall Height is affected by underlying conditions. To ensure that the CFI is sufficient, in situ tests should be undertaken.
