Companion Gold is a multi-functional adjuvant which improves efficacy and performance characteristics of plant protection products it is partnered with. Designed for use with glyphosate, Companion Gold can also be used alongside other herbicides including 2,4-D, dicamba, mecoprop-P and MCPA as well as with fungicides and plant growth regulators.
As a tank mix partner with herbicides containing glyphosate, Companion Gold is proven to increase the rate of weed control and efficacy of the application. Companion Gold contains a unique and complex blend of drift reducing polyacrylamide polymers to ensure that plant protection products stay where they are targeted. Water conditioners, pH buffers, and anti-foam agents further improve formulation efficacy and mixing in the spray tank.
Companion Gold also contains humectants to improve rain-fastness, increasing the time that the plant protection product is on the leaf and available for uptake.
Partner Products
Companion Gold was developed for use with glyphosate but can also be used alongside all other plant protection products including herbicides, fungicides, and plant growth regulators.
Application Recommendation
Where to use
Can be used in any situation that the partner plant protection products are authorised for. For example:
- Hard surfaces
- Permeable surfaces overlying soil
- Natural surfaces not intended to bear vegetation
- Amenity grassland
- Managed amenity turf
When to use:
Apply when using plant protection products including herbicides, fungicides, and plant growth regulators to improve formulation characteristics and efficacy.

How to use:
Use at a rate of up to 1% concentration in the spray tank solution
- Half fill the spray tank with water
- Add Companion Gold slowly whilst maintaining vigorous agitation
- Add plant protection product as recommended
- Add remaining water and continue agitation for 2-3 minutes to ensure complete dispersion

We require deliveries to be signed for. If no one is available to sign for your delivery, you may request it is left in a safe place by leaving a signed note for the driver, requesting the item is left without a signature. Please note that this is left at your own risk and at the driver's discretion.
For large orders, please be aware that if you require a smaller 7.5 tonne lorry, the maximum weight for pallets is 750 kg - otherwise the standard pallet size limit of 1000 kg applies.
