Greenkeeper

Shrewsbury Golf Club is currently looking for a full time Greenkeeper to join the existing team at the 18-hole golf course in Shrewsbury.

Working within a team of six, under direction from the Head Greenkeeper and Deputy, you will ensure that the course is properly laid and prepared for members and visitors to the Club. In addition, you will maintain the highest possible standards of presentation in readiness for competitions.

The candidate does not necessarily need greenkeeping experience as full training will be provided. An NVQ Level 2 qualification would be an advantage, although not essential, as there will be opportunity for training and development after successful completion of a probationary period. You will have a passion to learn and to exceed expectations. The position is based on a 40-hour average week (plus weekends on a rota basis) however, flexibility will be essential.

• Be self-motivated and aspire to high standards
• Work well as part of a team and as an individual
• A knowledge of golf would be an advantage but not essential
