New lecturer appointed at Myerscough College
The grass is greener at Myerscough with new Sportsturf Lecturer

The Sportsturf team at Myerscough College welcomes a new addition to the teaching team this month.
Dr. Andy Owen has joined the College from the Sports Turf Research Institute (STRI), where he managed projects within the soils and sports surfaces sciences department.
Andy said: "I am very excited at joining the team here at Myerscough I find it very rewarding to be able to use my experience in the industry to help the careers of my students and also help to develop the research and development initiatives in Myerscough's Sportsturf portfolio."
As a Lecturer in Agronomy at Myerscough, Andy will be involved in the delivery of subjects across the Sportsturf curriculum area, focusing on the Foundation Degree and BSc in Sportsturf course development.
Commenting on this appointment, Wayne Roberts, Team Leader for Sportsturf added:
"Having Andy join us here at Myerscough helps to strengthen our position in sportsturf training and education provision and allows us to further compliment our industry services. I am very pleased with the appointment and welcome him to the team.
