Hunstanton Golf Club, one of the premier links courses in the UK, situated on the north Norfolk coast has recently taken delivery of a range of new equipment from local dealer Bartrams Professional of Norwich.

The equipment, all from the Ransomes Jacobsen product line up, has been taken on a four-year lease hire agreement and includes two ride-on greens mowers, four pedestrian greens mowers, a light fairway mower, two utility vehicles, a tees and surrounds mower and three compact tractors with varying horsepower.

Hunstanton recently hosted the Boys Amateur Championship, organised by the R&A and won by Germany's Bernhard Neumann. The new equipment was delivered in time for the final preparation of this prestigious event.

Jim Read, Head greenkeeper commented,
"We had 256 boys from 21 countries competing in the event and as it was televised on BBC's Grandstand, it was very important that the course looked in the best possible condition. The new equipment helped us achieve this.

"For the past few years now, we have developed a very good working relationship with Bartram Professional. They are an excellent dealer and the word 'professional' certainly describes the way they go about their business. Their whole approach to looking after customers is first class and this was again evident during the negotiations on this deal."

Green Committee chairman, David Johnson added,
"This latest equipment demonstrates the Club's commitment to ensuring that the team here have the very best products to maintain the course in the finest condition. The lease hire agreement was our preferred financing option and means that we have a known annual fixed cost, with no nasty surprises. It also provides the option for refreshing and upgrading the fleet every four years."
