AJ Bell Stadium nets August’s Outstanding Sports Venue Award
Salford's AJ Bell Stadium has scooped August's MyLocalPitch Outstanding Sports Venue Award.
The AJ Bell Stadium opened in January 2012 to provide an incredible arena for sports, events and conferences for businesses and communities throughout the North West.
Sport players can book football, hockey or rugby online for the pristine 3G full-size training pitches which sit in the shadows of the state-of-the-art 11,500 capacity stadium. It's also possible to hire the stadium pitch when not in use by the Salford Red Devils or Sale Sharks.
AJ Bell Stadium prides itself as a leading and affordable grassroots facility in the North-West region which also acts as a hub for the local community.
August's grassroots award, which is determined by MyLocalPitch users, is based on pitch quality, venue amenities and customer experience.
MyLocalPitch is a platform for sports players who want to find and book sports venues online or through the app - both Android and iOS. Users have the choice of over 9,000 of the best venues around the UK for 17 featured sports. The service has mostly recently launched in Brighton, to go alongside London, Manchester and Dublin.
Jamie Foale, Co-Founder of MyLocalPitch, commented: "Since launch AJ Bell Stadium has grown to become one of the very best grassroots sports venues across the North West. The facilities are second-to-none and well done to Marcelle and the team for making this such a special place to play sport."
