The Unsung Heroes Award is a way of saying thank you to a groundsman or greenkeeper who has put in that bit extra during the year. Most sports clubs rely heavily on their groundsman/greenkeeper to get their course or pitch playable, usually in the most adverse of weather conditions.

There are 2 awards on offer - one each for the golf industry and the sports/amenity/turf industry.

And the prizes - a one week stay in a charming village house in the Languedoc-Roussillon region of the South of France. The two bedroom house (sleeps 6) is situated in the picturesque village of Neffies. Travel expenses (up to £150) are included for each winner.
