Ultimate Fairway Package puts Primo Maxx-treated fairways within reach!

Scotts and Syngenta have launched the Ultimate Fairway Package, an offer which combines Primo Maxx plant growth regulator and Sportsmaster WSF High N water soluble fertilizer to finally bring the dream of Primo Maxx-treated fairways within reach!

Available exclusively from Scotts' distributors until 30th December 2011, the package includes the following trio of products:

8 x 5 litres Primo Maxx
36 x 15kg Scotts Sportsmaster WSF High N 35-0-14 water soluble fertilizer
13 x Syngenta turf foliar nozzles

With a recommended retail price of £5,301.86, the offer provides previously unseen levels of discount and is available during the promotional period for just £2,965.

Scotts' National Account Manager, Ed Carter, said the package offers golf clubs significant savings over and above the purchase of the products:

"As we move into the growing season, the benefits associated with using Primo Maxx on fairways are significant. With up to 50% less mowing required, greenkeeping staff are free to complete other tasks. Reduced mower operating hours results in the use of less fuel and lower maintenance and repair costs. However, the principal benefit is the improvement in the quality of the turf. As well as being more drought-tolerant, the denser, greener and more durable sward enhances the playing experience, providing clubs with opportunities to increase membership and revenue."

"Primo Maxx is paired with Scotts' Sportsmaster WSF High N, a new water soluble fertilizer with mixed Nitrogen source to optimize uptake, and chelated iron for enhanced colour. Sportsmaster WSF contains TMax technology which improves nutrient uptake from the leaves and the roots."

Using the following three-application programme, the Ultimate Fairway Package is designed to deliver season-long fairway conditioning for an 18-hole golf course (based on fairways of approximately 12 hectares in the UK and Ireland):

Application 1 - Primo Maxx at a rate of 0.8-1.0 litre per hectare tank mixed with 15kg per hectare of Sportsmaster WSF High N with an application volume of 250-400 litres of water per hectare.

Application 2 - Primo Maxx at a rate of 0.8-1.0 litre per hectare tank mixed with 15kg per hectare of Sportsmaster WSF High N with an application volume of 250-400 litres of water per hectare.

Application 3 - Primo Maxx at a rate of 0.8-1.0 litre per hectare tank mixed with 15kg per hectare of Sportsmaster WSF High N with an application volume of 250-400 litres of water per hectare.

"It's important to commence applications when the turf is actively growing and repeat at 4-6 week intervals as appropriate," Ed Carter emphasises, "and adjust the rate of Primo Maxx based on the turfgrass species and relevant growing conditions. Your local distributor or Scotts Technical Area Sales Manager will be able to provide you with any advice you need on achieving the best results."

"Because accurate application is vital in achieving optimum results from any product, we have included Syngenta's turf foliar nozzles in the package. They fit on to the existing bayonet housing on virtually all modern sprayers and are specifically designed to produce the optimum droplet size for leaf coverage while maximizing spray retention on the leaf. Its design will typically deliver 75% more droplets per millilitre of spray, compared to an equivalent standard air induction nozzle."
