Three new Groundkeeper models from Amazone
Amazone has widened the product portfolio of its multi-functional Groundkeeper with three brand new models. Designated the GHS Drive and offered in working widths of 1.50 m, 1.80 m and 2.10 m and with hopper capacities of 2,50 m³, 3,00 m³ and 3,50 m³ respectively, the key features of the new range are the newly developed high-tip unloading system and tractor drawbar mounting as well as the reinforced transport chassis.
With the new drawbar mounting, the new machines can, despite their big hopper capacities, be put behind small and easily manoeuvrable compact tractors. This offers not only a cost saving but also the chance to reduce ground pressure thus alleviating compaction problems. The tractor and Groundkeeper combine together to make a great team and can be off, on their way up the road - thanks to the reinforced undercarriage - at forward speeds, where permissible, of up to 30km/h as well.
The brand new hi-tip unloading system enables the new Groundkeeper GHS Drive to tip into a 2.30 m high receptacle such as a skip, trailer or tipper truck. But it is not just the extra tipping height, the second major improvement is that the hopper now tips back 80 cm behind the main frame, pushing the grass further back into the receptacle and thus increasing the filling capacity. This cuts the cost of a 'cut and collect' system by having to run backwards and forwards far less to empty the containers.
Equally at home in professional gardens or with grass cutting contractors, the AMAZONE GHS Drive offers year-round functionality. It fits in with park maintenance and golf courses as well as on sports fields and lawns or even for the use in wildflower meadows, heather and heath clear-ance or horse paddocks in pasture hygiene regimes. At the heart of the machine is still the preci-sion-cut rotor with its freely swinging, hung-on knives. This renowned mowing system, even under damp conditions, offers the opportunity to manage all types of turf care - mowing, scarifying and shredding all in one operation with the option to either collect or to mulch. Flexibility with a capital G for GHS Drive.
