Three courses well-suited for wet & wild play
After last week's storms, which dumped over five inches of rain, and Tuesday's rainy weather, each of the three venues for the upcoming AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am are at least for now playing wet.
Even if it does rain a little more, the courses should hold up well though. Instead, it's wind and at Pebble Beach Golf Links, waves, that are a bigger concern.
Around this time last year, the three AT&T Pro-Am venues, which then included Poppy Hills Golf Course, were basking in record high temperatures and dry as a bone.
Heading into the tournament, a bit of rain was actually welcome.
Oddly, the question was not how players would adjust to the weather, but how they'd adjust to the courses playing so hard and firm.
