What you're looking for in a sod cutter is a clean, smooth result and on this Classen the blade is placed at the centre of the machine to ensure a more consistent cutting depth, adjusting to cut sods up to 2.5"/6.3cm deep. The cutting blade makes twenty cutting strokes per second/1,200 per minute, to ensure you get that smooth result and increased sod cutting productivity. The standard 18" wide blade can be replaced with 12", 16", 20" or 24" optional blade assemblies in a matter of minutes (the 24" blade is available for HSC188 models only).

There are two models of the new sod cutter to choose from, each with Honda engines. The Classen HSC185 has a 163cc Honda GX160 engine and the HSC188 a 242cc GX240.
