An outstanding quality of cut is what sealed the deal on the purchase of three INFINICUT® FL22 pedestrian mowers for the team at Bonnyton Golf Club.
The Glasgow venue is known as ‘Augusta National’s Scottish Sibling’, with the 18-hole moorland course boasting a challenging combination of plateau and undulating greens – all now prepared with a first-class finish thanks to the delivery of the trio in March 2024.
Augusta National designer and world-famous course architect Dr. Alister Mackenzie oversaw the design of Bonnyton Golf Club in the early 1920’s, with the maintenance under the watchful eye of, now Course Manager, Stuart Macdonald for the last 37 years. After recently installing a fully electric ride-on mower, Stuart explains that while the INFINICUT®’s being battery-powered was an added bonus, it wasn’t the driving factor. “We’ve used pedestrian mowers as long as I’ve been here for the benefits these bring to playability, presentation and plant health. We made sure we explored all of the options available – both engine and battery alternatives – to find the best option.”

Little things like this just make the job that much more straight forward.”
