The Chartered Institute of Horticulture postpones Saltex conference
President of the CIH, Andrew Gill C Hort FCIHort, said: "We are sorry we had to take this decision at such a late stage and I apologise to those who had made travel and accommodation arrangements. This decision is in no way related to the Institute's partners or the conference venue. The Institute hopes to reconvene the conference in early 2016."
Among those due to speak were Blue Diamond's Alan Roper and Binsted Nursery's Martin Emmett.
The CIH is the authoritative organisation representing those professionally engaged in horticulture in the UK and Ireland and its conference provides an excellent opportunity to gain an insight in to the challenges, trends and strategic thinking of horticultural leaders and to meet industry professionals. The Institute was granted a Royal Charter by her Majesty the Queen on 21 July 2014 and a key benefit of this is that it is able to grant members the right to use the title Chartered Horticulturist, with the designatory letters C Hort.
