Surrey won't pitch in to help England
The Surrey chief executive, Paul Sheldon, insists there will be no 'cooking the books' to help England produce a result pitch for the fifth Ashes Test next Thursday at The Oval.
England must win the match to regain the Ashes from Australia who, with the series levelled at 1-1, only need a draw to retain the urn.
Regardless of the state of the series, Sheldon said his head groundsman, Bill Gordon, would go about his business as he normally does.
