Kings Hill Golf Club at West Malling in Kent has taken delivery of two Jacobsen SLF 1880 super light fairway mowers from local dealer Ernest Doe and Sons Ltd.

The 700 member golf club is the centrepiece of a mixed commercial and residential development, based on an American principle that provides a superior work environment together with high quality homes in a single location.

Duncan Kelso, Course Manager at Kings Hill describes why he is an advocate of the SLF 1880, "We tested most of the fairway mowers on the market, before selecting the Jacobsen machine. It is, in my view, the most outstanding light fairway mower on the market. My team evaluated it; liked the quality of cut, the operator controls and the overall user-friendliness of the machine. With two machines we have flexibility and can get out early ahead of the golfers to prepare the fairways. The light footprint obviously helps prevent compaction and scuffing when turning and the finish is excellent. A tractor mounted Ransomes 214 Verti-Cut unit complements the fairway mowers and has helped to improve the sward."
