Strength and depth from Dennis
Dennis are in an upbeat mood promoting its broad line-up of precision turf care products and highlighting the company's ongoing sales successes.
As well as launching a brand new product brochure, Dennis have made significant sales successes in overseas markets such as Poland and other former eastern bloc countries. As Managing Director Ian Howard explains, "these countries are investing heavily in their sporting infrastructures and require quality equipment to maintain them properly after construction. We have a strengthening global distribution network and are gearing up at our midlands works to supply this demand."
Dennis's Polish distributor, Zielona Architektura, has constructed several major pitches throughout Poland, including surfaces for top soccer teams. Many of Poland's major clubs use Dennis mowers supplied by Zielona, including Wista in Krakow, who were the country's premier league champions in 2005.
Despite the dry season of 2006 the home market continues to boom with Dennis enjoying strong sales growth in all key sectors over the last 12 months.
Amongst products in particular demand is the ingenious S500 Powered Spiker, ideal for maintaining greens turf to the highest standards of quality. The lightweight machine makes slits in the sward to increase penetration of water, air and nutrients. An integral turntable enables 90 or 180 degree turning, facilitating tight turns in wet conditions without the risk of turf damage.
The can be replaced by a Bray seed slotting reel, which makes flat-bottomed seeding slots at a controlled depth for optimal germination.
The revolutionary FT range of pedestrian mowers, occasionally copied, but never matched, accept interchangeable cassette attachments including verti-cutters, scarifiers, aerators and turf brushes, as well as a selection of mowing reels. This gives invaluable multi-tasking capabilities and greater working efficiency.
The Dennis cassette machines are available with cutting widths from 17-34in (43-86cm) and their precision engineering enables turf professionals to achieve the highest quality finish on playing surfaces at all levels of sport and amenity management.
A significant feature of Dennis equipment is that it is designed for very low levels of vibration, helping employers to meet tightened Health & Safety regulations.
"But despite all the new initiatives and developments customers still recognise our commitment to design, quality, and value - the core values that lie behind the trusted Dennis brand," says Ian Howard.
