Sam almost strikes Gold in the Pitchcare Rio Challenge
Team Great Britain delivered our best performance at an Olympic Games for more than a century, to finish second in the overall medal table.
In our own fun competition - the Pitchcare Rio Challenge - Sam Sweetzer came the closest to striking gold. Nobody guessed correctly the total medal haul, but Sam, who is a greenkeeper at West Hill Golf Club, was just one away when he forecast that Team GB would win 68 medals at the Rio Games. The correct total was 67, of which 27 were gold, 23 silver and 17 bronze.
Despite the fact that the exact number was not guessed correctly, Sam will still be given a prize from the Helly Hanson Workwear range of either a jacket or boots.
Well done Sam and obviously huge congratulations to Team GB. Bring on Tokyo 2020.
