Parts ordering made simple
Parts ordering made simple
Press Release
Over 3500 John Deere customers in the UK and Ireland already experience the benefits of using the JDParts website, www.jdparts.johndeere.com - now the latest version of the site looks and functions better than ever, and it remains absolutely free to use.
The key feature, John Deere's electronic parts catalogues, covers all agricultural and groundscare machines produced since the mid 1970s. This is exactly the same system that dealers use on their own parts counter, and the data is drawn from John Deere's master file, so any updates are immediately seen online.
High quality drawings and parts lists in the catalogues can be emailed or printed out and faxed. This makes it extremely easy to identify parts, even if the machine they are needed for is nowhere near the office computer.
Once the right part number has been identified, users can find the price and check availability at the local dealership. Finally the part can be added to an online shopping cart, allowing the customer to build up an order to submit to the dealer.
With over 100,000 links loaded into the system, the special Cross Search facility also makes it easy find a John Deere part suitable for other makes of machine - particularly useful for items such as batteries, bearings, lights and belts.
To take full advantage of the system, customers simply have to register their name and address details online, and select their local dealer. To order parts using the system, they then just need to agree terms of payment and delivery with the chosen dealer. However, functions such as the parts catalogue are still available for customers who choose not to register.
