Toro Irrigation is unveiling its new 810G Series tee sprinkler, designed specifically to accommodate the higher pressures of today's golf course irrigation systems.

Along with its stablemates the 835 and 855 units, the 810G is the only sprinkler on the market to offer both full- and part-circle operation in one single unit. It has an arc setting that can be adjusted from 30 to 330deg in part-circle operation and to uni-directional full-circle mode.

Ideal for block system applications which require spacing of 9m to 21m, the 810G has a pop-up height of 127mm (5in), which enables the spray to clear taller grasses.

The new unit incorporates many features of Toro's 835 and 855 sprinklers, including the unique TruJectory technology, which allows the nozzle spray height to be fine-tuned from 5deg to 25deg to ensure precision watering.

Also new are the TR50, TR50XT and TR70XT sprinklers, which are tailor-made to withstand the demands of sports field irrigation. They contain many features of the 810G, including full- and part-circle capability (30 to 360deg in part-circle mode) and TruJectory technology.

The two XT models feature Toro's exclusive X-Flow shut-off feature, which enables users to carry out dry-nozzle changes.

Toro is also launching a new range of RainSensors for use with existing Toro control systems in both golf and sporting applications. The three new models include a hard-wired version, a wireless unit with digital display and a wireless model with a rain/freeze sensor and digital display.

The new RainSensors take water management a step further by automatically shutting off water when it rains. This means greater irrigation control and significant water conservation benefits.
