Bernhard and Company are delighted to announce that Doug Veine has joined them as Mid West & North East USA Territory Manager.

With many years experience of running maintenance operations for a golf management group with courses in Michigan, Northern Indiana and Chicago, Doug has also worked as Turf Equipment Manager at courses in Colorado and most recently at the 18 hole championship course, Harbor Shores Golf Club in Michigan where he has been for 5 years.

Doug said, "I first met Stephen Bernhard around 15 years ago in Colorado and I've been using their equipment even longer than that. I'd say after 21 years in the industry I've used a lot of Bernhard grinders, in fact I've purchased 4 sets of machines at various places I've worked - so I am pretty well positioned to take on this new role and I know the product inside out.

I'm really looking forward to working with the company and with Gary. He's a great guy, very supportive and I'm excited to get started on this new challenge."

Business Development Manager, Gary Ray said, "I believe Doug is the man to develop the market in the Mid West/North East region. There's nothing he doesn't know about the machinery and he's a thoroughly nice guy with a lot of experience, energy and good sense behind him. We are very glad to have him join our team."

Doug lives with his wife Katie and their children, Brady (16) and Evan (13) in Berien Springs, Michigan.

In his spare time Doug loves to fish and living on Lake Michigan, he couldn't be better positioned.

"When I worked in Colorado we were less than a mile from the Vail chair lift so we did a lot of skiing. The boys are fabulous skiers. We still ski a couple of times a year, do a bit of motor-cross and dirt-bike riding, but fishing is my passion, and much kinder on my knees."
