New range of dumpers for UK market

Irish dealer places first order for a dozen new generation dumpers

Ausa UK's exclusive Eire dealer, Ace Machinery of Naas, County Westmeath is the first to recognise Ausa's new generation range of compact articulated dumpers specifically designed to handle the heavy, wet soils of the UK and northern regions, with an order for 12 units.

Launched at the SED, the first order consists of eight HI-TIP AHA hydrostatic and four AMA manual transmission dumpers with capacities ranging from 850kg to 1200kg. As well known equipment dealers in Ireland, Myles Clarke and Danny Heavey, joint managing directors at Ace Machinery are delighted to have expanded their range of dumpers.

Having been informed of the development of the new range through Glen Pritchard, Ausa's national sales manager, Ace Machinery believe in Ausa build quality and are aware of how the dumpers had been designed with a new style and a more rugged build to ideally suit tough operating environments. They finalised the order at SED having seen the machines in action in the demonstration area.Added advantages of the range includes: a HI-TIP option on even smaller 850kg capacity machines, ease of operation with the hydrostatic option and smooth, quiet running.

Myles and Danny personally handle sales for Ausa at Ace Machinery. As the key point of contact for new and existing customers, they are responsible for all Ausa sales as well as overseeing Ace Machinery's after sales service. This offers customers a local dedicated team of in-house service engineers providing technical support and routine services.

As Ireland's largest supplier of mini excavators with Takechui, Ace Machinery feel that the new Ausa range of dumpers integrate well into their current product profile.

Ausa have set new standards for compact articulated dumper market by introducing its all new range of compact articulated dumpers. In all ten new models are available. The first group of six are HI TIP AHA hydrostatic and AMA manual transmission dumpers that feature a full frame lift chassis. These have a variable skip discharge height of between 1.00 to 1.72 metres. A model number prefix of 85, 100 or 120 indicates the machines capacity, which is 850kg, 1000kg or 1200kg respectively.

The second group are hydrostatic transmission AHG swivel skip dumpers and these again have capacities of 850kg, 1000kg or 1200kg. The hopper on these models can be swivelled through 180° so it can discharge to either side of the dumper. Completing the line-up is the 120 AMG. This swivel skip dumper has a manual transmission.Common features across the range include an easy to use single joystick to operate the hopper, a high specification suspended high-back seat and forward mounted ROPS frame that fits within the track of the vehicle to reduce its overall width.

Mechanical transmission models feature an extremely tough four by four speed gearbox and are powered by a 20hp single-cylinder Deutz-Diter engine. Hydrostatic variants incorporate forward and reverse control on the joystick and are powered by a smooth running and extremely quiet 16hp Perkins three-cylinder diesel.

Ausa has an established reputation for building dumpers that combine ease of operation, low whole life running costs and rugged build. The all new manual transmission AMA and AMG models build upon this, with the added advantages of modern styling, class leading ergonomics and a choice of HI TIP or Swivel Skips. Where added sophistication and ease of use is demanded, the hydrostatic AHA and AHG offer smooth and quiet running, bringing new levels of sophistication to the sub-1500kg dumper sector.

NEW MD FOR AUSA UK

Ausa UK has appointed Martin Bell to the position of managing director. Martin is a well known face in the industry, having amassed 30 years experience in both the manufacture and distribution of construction equipment across UK, Europe and the far East. "My main role will be to strengthen the position of Ausa UK through expansion of the product range and routes to market," explained Martin. "Ausa is the world's largest manufacturer of site dumpers of up to 3.5 ton so we represent a global player."

"For the UK my intention is to establish Ausa as a key name in the supply of construction equipment in what is a very challenging marketplace." Previously Martin spent five years as MD at Barford Site Dumpers, part of Grantham based Wordsworth Holdings. As the man behind the launch of Barford's mini dumper range, Martin has valuable experience to bring to the launch of Ausa's new range of dumpers that will be demonstrated on a tour of UK plant hire companies over coming months.

Having already been demonstrated in the UK at this year's SED Show, Ausa's ten new dumpers are forming the template for the design, style and build of future Ausa dumpers. These new generation models have been specifically developed for demanding conditions - long hours, heavy wet materials and difficult operating environments - conditions that are the norm for most UK operators.

In his new role, Martin will be supported by Glen Pritchard, national sales manager and three regional sales managers: Peter Stock (South West), Barrie Gough (South East) and Steve Grimshaw (North). Martin will work on strengthening and expanding the UK distributor network along with the sales support that Ausa offers.

Martin will also be involved in promoting the established Ausa range as well as launching new products to the UK market. This range currently includes site dumpers, rough terrain forklift trucks, tracked carriers, telescopic handlers utility vehicles and cement mixers.
