Founder Roger Turner becomes Chairman after being at the helm for more than 30 years. Following its launch in 1972, a decade of significant growth resulted in franchise opportunities being made available in 1982. Today, it's one of the leading amenity contractors in the UK and with 48 regional franchisees, the only one offering true national coverage.

Richard joined the company as Business Development Manager in October 2001 becoming Commercial Director in 2003 and has worked intensively within the franchise network. Using his extensive knowledge gained from more than 20 years experience in the sports and amenity industry, he's assisted franchisees in developing their businesses, expanding their skills base and maintaining the strict legal and health and safety compliance that the company's reputation is built upon.

Enthusiastic about innovation, Richard has been instrumental to the company's research and development programme, which through innovations such as the Weed-IT, led to it achieving award-winning status for it's environmentally friendly methods of weed control.

He's also Chairman of the NAAC Amenity Committee and a member of other industry bodies, where he hopes his new role will enable him to continue to raise the profile of weed control.

"As a company, we're continually looking for opportunities to use our application skills to the full and educate our customers about the benefits of a tailored weed control programme. Everyone knows that we're weed control specialists, but our experienced franchisees also apply fungicides, growth retardants, fertilisers, and pest, disease and moss control agents to a very high standard - professionally, safely and cost-effectively."
