"Matching the changing requirements of greenkeepers with new grass seed cultivars is a chief objective," says Brian Robinson, Seed Research Director at Rigby Taylor.

"Tailor-made trials are part of the extensive service we can offer to clients."

Setting new standards

Dramatic developments in perennial ryegrass cultivars by Top Green have led to their successful use on the golf course. These are used in the Mascot range of grass seed mixes supplied by Rigby Taylor.

Elan is a NEW cultivar, which, in combination with fescues, can be used to create a dense hard-wearing sward - a vital requirement for walk-on walk-off areas.

The low crown on Elan enables it to grow well with fescue and bent on fairway and semi-rough.

Greenfair

Fine-leafed and with a low crown Greenfair has a high wind-chill capability - enabling it to grow late in the season.

These traits, combined with good root development, make it Ideal for use when renovating areas of turf.
