'Iain is a welcome addition to our consultancy bringing a diverse experience from across Europe, having worked not only in the UK, but also Turkey, Portugal and Germany. Indeed, these last three years Iain has worked with ourselves in France when project managing the construction of the large prestigious 'Four Seasons' Dave Thomas designed complex. Iain is knowledgeable of on site requirements and of contractor, client and designer relations. He has overseen the inputting and commissioning of a diversity of irrigation systems both large and small, and this experience can only be beneficial to our clients' said Adrian Mortram of STRI irrigation consultancy services.

Iain MacPherson commented that 'Contract supervision and management have been the last twelve years of my life. Already knowing Robin and Adrian will ensure I continue my involvement and close ties with golf whilst also broadening horizons across the sports turf industry'. Iain added 'He expected to bring business, perhaps from further afield, as well as slotting into an already busy set up. I am looking forward to helping Adrian and Robin at what they 'do best' namely with feasibility studies, audits, GPS surveys, irrigation design including the preparation of contract specification documentation and bills of quantities through to project management and handover'.

Notable irrigation projects currently include Open Qualifiers Kilmarnock Barassie Golf Club and North Berwick Golf Club, and the forthcoming new Dunlaoghaire Golf Course in Ireland. STRI irrigation services are also involved with Ascot Racecourse, London Borough of Bromley and Cheltenham Borough with sports pitches.
