National Pollinator Strategy: Implementation Plan

The Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs have released an updated National Pollinator Strategy: Implementation Plan

The National Pollinator Strategy was launched in November 2014. The strategy sets out a 10 year plan to help pollinating insects survive and thrive.

It is a statement of collaborative action and cooperation between Government and other organisations to protect the future of pollinators.

Pollinating insects include many different species of bees and other insects such as hoverflies, beetles, flies, butterflies and moths.

This Implementation Plan sets out how the actions will be delivered in the Strategy and monitor their impacts. The key themes from the Strategy form the basis of the Plan. Under 5 key themes, there are 23 policy and 11 evidence actions. This Plan will be of interest to pollinator specialists, conservation practitioners, Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), policy makers and academics, amongst others.
