Mobile Irrigation Beats Drought

Carol Duttonin Industry News
J Pugh-Lewis, the Chesterfield based sports ground constructors and drainage experts offer a new service for 2004 aimed specifically at non-league football and rugby clubs.

Mobile irrigation systems will be available for hire to clubs who have had renovation work completed, but lack the necessary equipment to ensure the establishment of new grass.

"Last year (2003) saw an almost total lack of rain during the prime grass growing season in September and October," says James Pugh-Lewis. "We're putting together a package of a travelling sprinkler run off a 110 volt pump which can be either powered from the mains via a transformer or run off a mobile generator, and a range of portable water tanks of various sizes to suit most situations. Although clubs who have used our renovation services will take priority, the equipment will be available for hire to anyone who needs it."
