Major Equipment launch new machines, Major Sidewinder 400V and Major 2000 Trailed Flail Catcher.

Major Sidewinder 400V:

MAJOR Equipment have designed and produced the MAJOR SIDEWINDER 400V, a 3.5m (11'6") mower with 5 individual cutting heads. This revolutionary PTO powered grass cutter is intended for highly contoured ground in parks and golf courses alike.

Each of the five decks is shaft driven directly by the tractor with the whole machine only requiring 40hp. The individual cutting heads float independently of each other hugging the ground contours on 3 castor floatation tyres. The cutting height can be set from 12mm (1/2") to 90mm (3 ½") with high suction blades cutting the grass precisely. Mulching chambers ensure that the finely chopped grass is and well spread without windrowing.

The Sidewinder is easily trailed behind the tractor by the swivel hitch and rolls on low ground pressure 26x12x12ply tyres to prevent ground compaction. Hydraulic control enables the decks to be folded into the transportation position, ensuring a 2.2m (7'3") width.

MAJOR 2000 Trailed Flail Catcher:

New to the impressive range of MAJOR Amenity Machinery, is the MAJOR 2000 Trailed Flail Catcher, boasting a 3 cubic metre capacity hopper with a 2.2m (6'6") tipping height. The 2.0m flail blade head has a minimum cutting height of 12mm (1/2") and floats independently of the body ensuring a precise cut. The cutting head lifts for transport by hydraulic control & locks in position offering a 250mm (10") ground clearance while running on 26x12 x12ply low ground pressure tyres.

A robust construction throughout, this machine requires a minimum of 50 hp and is engineered to withstand the onslaught of contractor & hire machinery treatment. The 2.2m tipping height ensures collected material drops into any trailer. The hydraulic powered chute tips forward by hydraulic control making cutting head maintenance easier to facilitate.
