Major Rotherham deal for SGM and Hayter

SGM (UK) has won an order worth more than £1 million for Hayter mowers and other equipment. The equipment is supplied to Ringway who operate the contract to maintain the parks and public open spaces for Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council.

Having served Rotherham and worked with SGM and Hayter for several years, Ringway recently renewed the contract with SGM for a further three years. This has allowed SGM to bring in all new equipment for the Rotherham grounds maintenance contract.

The contract includes 18 LT324 triple turf ride on mowers and six tractor drawn gang mowers. 'We have been very pleased with the Hayter products and the support we have had from SGM' said Ringway contract manager Chris Jones. 'The decision to go with Hayter again was based on experience and a comprehensive market appraisal. The council and our operators were involved in the decision and Hayter were clear winners on quality and performance.'
