London Golf Show in high spirits

Press Release

In anticipation of The London Golf Show being a huge success organisers have the champagne on ice. And the vodka. And the gin. Devaux Champagne will be at the event along with Ketel One Vodka as sponsors of the show's Champagne and Vodka Bar.

If these aren't you're tipple of choice, Martin Miller's Gin has also signed up as sponsor of the 19th Hole bar. Ketel One's involvement with the show is the brand's latest foray into the world of golf. The company's previous projects include the Ketel One Vodka Ultimate Challenge golf tournament and it has also worked with golfing legend Arnold Palmer.

For Martin Millers Gin and Devaux Champagne working with the London Golf Show is their first sortie into golf. Abi Rooney-Smith, Devaux Champagne's UK brand manager, said: "I think the London Golf Show is a great idea. There's the ski show and the boat show so why not a golf show?

"It's sure to attract a lot of people and we're pleased to be associated with what is bound to be a successful event." Emma Martin, Martin Millers Gin's marketing manager, added: "There's been a trend in the growth of consumer shows in the UK and until now golfers haven't had anything. "We're a relatively small brand so we don't get involved in too many shows but we have enormous faith that the London Golf Show is going to be a success."

Ross Broadstock, managing director of the London Golf Show, said: "I'm delighted these brands will be present at the show. "Ketel One has worked with a number of high-profile golf events in the past and, with Devaux and Martin Miller's choosing the London Golf Show as their first golf project, this shows how highly the show is regarded."

Docklands' ExCel Centre plays host to everything the golfing world has to offer on April 21-24 when the London Golf Show hits the capital.

Visitors will be able to take advantage of great show prices on top brand golf equipment, meet with the pros, get advice, see and buy the latest in golf fashion and explore a whole world of golfing destinations and holidays - all in the centre of London.

In addition there will be fantastic prizes - including a car and a five-star holiday - up for grabs in various interactive competitions and events, ranging from a hole-in-one competition on a floating green in the Victoria Docks, to a putting competition on the indoor arena. And it is already pulling in the star names with DJ Spoony, BBC radio's voice of golf Tony Adamson, Sir Trevor Brooking and dozens more from stage and screen all putting in an appearance.
