Local Authority success for TH White Ltd.

Bracknell Forest Borough Council have ordered six Ransomes Parkway triple cylinder mowers to help raise the presentation of their grassed areas and open spaces in preparation for their Britain in Bloom campaign. The new machines replace previous rotary mowers, following a change of policy to enhance the quality of finish throughout the borough.

A further seven Ransomes Parkways, a set of TG3400 trailed gang mowers and a ZT220D zero turn rotary mower have just been delivered to the Groundscare Team at Basingstoke & Deane Borough Council. The Council have an ongoing association with the Ransomes brand and have a policy of rotating replacement for their 14-strong grass maintenance fleet.

Andy Dodd, Street Scene Manager at Basingstoke said,
"From mid-March to the end of October the team's main activity is grass maintenance. Our area is quite substantial and with a cutting frequency of every two to three weeks we use cylinder machines to give us a high quality finish."

Completing the trio is South Gloucestershire Council who have purchased seven Ransomes Parkways and taken a further four Ransomes 728 out front rotary mowers on contract hire. The equipment will be used to maintain school playing fields, parks and other open spaces within the 44 villages and towns under the remit of the Council.

South Gloucestershire's Grounds Maintenance Contracts Manager Bob Standen said,
"We chose the Ransomes 728 because of its performance, efficiency and ability to stand up against the other machines on offer."
