Lee Williams appointed UK Sales Manager at KAR UK

Effective from the 1st of July, Lee Williams will assume the position of UK Sales Manager at KAR UK. In this role, he will assist the Managing Director in daily business operations, oversee both the Internal and External Sales Teams, and manage the Marketing department.

Lee has been a member of the KAR UK team since October 2021, serving as Area Sales Manager and supporting his customer accounts across England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.

Lee brings a wealth of experience in the sports and irrigation industries to his new position.

Following earning a First Diploma in Horticulture from Myerscough College in 1998, he began his career as an Apprentice Greenkeeper at Haydock Park Golf Club, where he completed NVQ level 2 in Sports Turf. He then moved on to Manchester City FC’s Carrington training ground as a Groundsman, where he completed level 3 of his NVQ and was quickly promoted to Head Groundsman within a year. Lee later held the same position at Oldham Athletic FC.

Lee has held various other positions in the sports industry, including Grounds Manager, Contractor, Sales Manager, and Technical Sports Turf Journalist for Pitchcare. His diverse background and extensive experience make him a valuable asset to KAR UK as he steps into his new leadership role.

Lee expressed his enthusiasm about his new role, stating: “Having grown within KAR UK since 2021, assuming the role of UK Sales Manager is a great privilege. I am eager to utilise my industry and company experience to foster growth, support our teams, and further contribute towards KAR UK’s continued achievements.”
