Richard Hutchinson, a 35-year-old Groundsman was trapped underneath a ride-on lawn mower for more than two hours after it toppled down a hill at a Mid Wales golf club and crushed his legs.
Richard was using the mower to cut a steep bank of grass at Brookland Golf Academy, near Welshpool, when it overturned on the slope just after 4pm on Sunday and landed on top of him.
A group of friends who arrived at around 5.30pm to play tennis raised the alarm after hearing Mr Hutchinson's cries for help. Fire crews from Welshpool and Newtown were called to the scene along with local paramedics.
Already he has undergone two surgical operations on his lower left leg, which was seriously injured in the incident. He is awaiting a third operation.
He has remained in the high dependency unit in Wrexham Maelor Hospital, where Mr Hutchinson, who lives in the grounds of the golf academy, was airlifted to Wrexham General Hospital by North Wales air ambulance.
Brookland Golf Academy is run by Mr Hutchinson's father Michael, who said the details of the incident were being investigated.
