Heftee Lifts 'live'-at Parks Depot UK

Having recently introduced Heftee Lifts at BTME, Parts Depot UK held a 'Live' demonstration event in Lancashire at the beginning of March, attracting over 30 guests over the two days. Each half-day session was deigned to demonstrate the full range of Heftee equipment in a very practical way and illustrate the significant safety and productivity benefits that can be achieved.

Initially, Scott Fore of Heftee introduced the guests to the equipment, providing an informative presentation exploring the full operating features of the lifts and sharing his experience of the difference made to service workshops in the USA. This was followed by an active demonstration, which involved changing a rotary blade on a Kubota G18 diesel ride on mower whilst positioned on the lift. The whole process took just 4mins 12 seconds to perform compared to an average 30 minutes when performed without the advantage of the lift.

Guests were left imagining the potential time saved over a full year. Assuming an average size contractor operating 20 machines sharpened blades every 4 weeks the amount of workshop time save over the course 32 week cutting season could be up to a staggering 75 hours, which at a labour rate of £38/hour represents a cost saving of £2850 or approximately 50% of the capital cost of the lift on this simple operation alone.
