Groundwater Regulations Seminar - Mid Glamorgan

Following the success of their Groundwater Regulations seminar day in the Midlands, Osprey Irrigation in conjunction with the water management company Hydroscape Ltd, are holding a similar one at the Royal Porthcawl Golf Club, Mid Glamorgan on Thursday 13th January 2005.

Up to two members of an organisation are invited to attend the seminar day which will introduce the new Mi-T-M Biological Wastewater Treatment System, and to discuss the legal requirements faced by all organisations, on the prevention of contamination to ground water of chemicals, diesel, petrol and waste oils.

As you may have read in the Trade Press, recent changes in legislation have now made it a criminal offence to knowingly allow the discharge or disposal of certain substances, including mineral oils and chemicals such as pesticides onto the ground, where they may percolate into and contaminate groundwater.

Potential penalties for infringement of the law, could incur severe fines, together with the possibility of imprisonment in worst cases.

Part of the day is designed to help you understand a little more of the problems these regulations may present, and some of the practical measures and options you can take to ensure you comply with the law.

The programme for the day will comprise of:

1000 hours Meet at Royal Porthcawl Golf Club. (Coffee and Tea)

1030 hours Presented by Peter Roberts, Hydro Scape Ltd.

"The Environment Agency- Groundwater Regulations 1998".

1200 hours Lunch

1230 hours David Bates, Earth-Tec Ltd. "The Vital Link".

1330 hours Dave Saltman, Pitchcare.com Ltd. "Interactive Online Magazine"

1430 hours Close.

Places are limited and will be issued on a first come first served basis.

We look forward to seeing you at Royal Porthcawl Golf Club.

Yours Sincerely

Jon Jinks
