Groundsman has tools stolen for a second time

Gardening tools have been stolen from Penair School in Truro for the second time in eight weeks. Thieves broke into a workshop over the weekend and made off with a trailer, two lawnmowers, a leaf vacuum and other items together worth around £700.

They also caused damage, estimated at £800, to padlocks and to a large area of turf.

Headteacher Barbara Vann said the head Groundsman who oversees the upkeep of 52 acres of land at the school was devastated to lose all his tools for a second time.

"He had only just got them replaced from last time when they were stolen," she said.

Police said anyone with information should contact them on 08452 777444.
