As the world watches to see how professional golf copes without its biggest earner and the damage to his reputation, players are testing out developments including solar-powered golf buggies.

Inventor David Coburn says the technology uses the same cell technology as Toyota for their Prius hybrid car.

Using solar power means the carts do not have to be plugged in overnight - the panels can be attached to any old buggy.
