Who are you? Tim Franklyn - Technical Manager for Charterhouse Turf Machinery.

Family status? With partner Annie and three teenage children Ben, James and Amy.

Who's your hero and why? Isambard Kingdom Brunel - A brilliant engineer with a keen eye for detail.

What would you change about yourself? Overcome my fear of flying.

What's your guilty pleasure? A glass of proper real ale made in Britain.

What do you drop everything for? Family and friends.

What's been the highlight of your career so far? Completing a four-year engineering apprenticeship.

What's your favourite season? Summer, the thought of endless days of sunshine and blue skies.

What are your pet peeves? Broken Britain and the people we elected to fix it.

If you could go anywhere right now, where would it be? Behind the steering wheel of a County tractor.

Who or what is the most important thing in your life? Family and friends.

What's the best part of your job? Technical challenges to keep the old grey matter working.

… and the worst? Hitting your thumb with the biggest hammer in the tool box.

Do you have a lifetime ambition? Go to 'Speed Week' at Bonneville Salt Flats, Utah.

Who wouldn't you like to be? The Prime Minister, too many issues that should have been sorted years ago.

Favourite record, and why? 'Your love alone is not enough' by The Manic Street Preachers and Nina Persson. Just sounds good to me.

Who would you choose to spend a romantic evening with? That's for me to know???

If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do? Treat family and friends, then spend, spend and spend some more.

If you were to describe yourself as a musical instrument, what would you be and why? A piano, it's a versatile instrument that can do classic and rock n roll.

What's the best advice you have ever been given? Make every day count.

What's your favourite smell? Castrol 'R' racing oil, filling the air from a hot exhaust pipe.

What do you do in your spare time? Walking, photography, fishing, classic cars and tractors.

What's the daftest work related question you have ever been asked? After hollow coring a golf green and before collecting the cores, a golfer asked me - "is the green out of play?"

What's your favourite piece of kit? When it's behaving, my 1979 Ford RS 2000 that I have owned for 27 years.

What three words would you use to describe yourself? Constructive, caring and persevering.

What talent would you like to have? Better and faster keyboard skills.

What law/legislation would you like to see introduced? Fly tippers should be sent to jail.
