Who's your hero and why? Steve Jobs.To overcome as many hurdles as that guy did proves there is hope for everybody. Also Ronnie O`Sullivan. To be that technically gifted and carefree must be unbelievable.

What would you change about yourself? Not having ginger hair and fair skin for the summer.

What's your guilty pleasure? Caramel Digestives.

What's been the highlight of your career so far? Being asked to be Head Groundsman at Headingley Stadium after the previous illustrious incumbents.

What are your pet peeves? People not saying thank you.

If you could go anywhere right now, where would it be? For a beer with the old man.

What's the best part of your job? Using my position to help people, and also the quiet times when the sun is setting and the water system is going.

… and the worst? No sleep.

Do you have a lifetime ambition? Not really - just achieve as much as I can in life, both in and out of work.

Favourite record, and why? Don McLean American Pie. If you've had a fair amount of alcohol, no matter who you are, you cannot fail to sing to that song.

Who would you choose to spend a romantic evening with? I would have to say Rheanne, as the earache if I didn't would be relentless.

If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do? Lads. Plane. Las Vegas or Bangkok for a week.

If you were to describe yourself as a musical instrument, what would you be and why? A piano. I can be complicated but also soft and loud at different stages.

Which three people, living or dead, would you invite to a dinner party? Paul Gascoigne, Conor Mcgregor and my mate from childhood Rich Welsh… what a night that would be!

If you could be anyone for a day, who would it be and why? The Invisible Man, for obvious reasons.

Do you have any bad habits? A short and blunt temper. Chewing pens.

... or any good ones? I always give people chances. Everybody makes mistakes.

Do you go to bed worrying about the next day's workload? Not worrying, just thinking about it.

What are you reading at the moment? - Hard copy or online? I Was Hitler's Chauffeur: The Memoirs of Erich Kempka.

What's the best advice you have ever been given? There are no rules at all to life. Follow what you want to do.

What's your favourite smell? Sea air.

What do you do in your spare time? I do a lot of walking with the dog in the Dales.

What's the daftest work related question you have ever been asked? Can you not use the floodlights to melt the snow?

What's your favourite piece of kit? Richard Long scarifier. Absolutely bombproof and leaves a great finish.

What three words would you use to describe yourself? Involving, intense and motivated.

What talent would you like to have? Learning to leave things alone, when thinking I should help.

What law/legislation would you like to see introduced? That, if a fly half kicks out on the full, they have to repair the centre spot from the scrum after the game.
