Who are you? Jim Brown, Golf Courses & Estates Manager, De Vere Cameron House - The Carrick on Loch Lomond.
Family status? Married to Judith with one son, Daniel.
Who's your hero and why? I don't have any heroes now as my last one fell from grace - Lance Armstrong.
What would you change about yourself? I hate having to wear glasses.
What is your guilty pleasure? Smoking.
Glass half full or half empty? Full to overflowing!
What do you drop everything for? Mrs B.
Climate change - fact or fiction? Fiction.
If you could go anywhere right now, where would it be? There's a beach right at the northern tip of Goa overlooking the Arabian Sea and the Tiracol River - right there would do nicely.
What is the best part of your job? The challenge.
And the worst? Negative people.
Do you have a lifetime ambition? To appear on the front cover of Pitchcare.
Who wouldn't you like to be? I wouldn't like to be a negative person.
Favourite record, and why? Holidays in Cambodia - The Dead Kennedys. Great lyrics, great band and takes me back to a period of misspent youth.
Who would you choose to spend a romantic evening with? Mrs B every time.
If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do? Go to that beach in north Goa and plan my retirement. I don't think there are any golf courses in Goa. Hmmmm, now there's a thought ...
If you were to describe yourself as a musical instrument, what would you be and why? A tuba - not the most attractive instrument but makes a lot of noise
What's the best advice you have ever been given? Stay silent and be thought a fool - speak up and remove all doubt.
What's your favourite smell? Tandoori oven on that beach in North Goa.
What do you do in your spare time? I enjoy cycling, having a beer or two and sleeping.
What's the daftest work related question you have ever been asked? "Why can't you cut grass at night?" That's the most popular, followed by "can't you stop it raining?"
What's your favourite piece of kit? Foliar feeding is so much easier with my Toro 5800 - it's my precious.
What three words would you use to describe yourself? Patient, tolerant and forgiving ... oh, and honesty.
What talent would you like to have? I would like to have the ability to play the guitar, and to be able to see without my glasses. In fact, I would like to play the guitar without having to wear glasses - and playing Holidays in Cambodia by The Dead Kennedys ... Yeah!
What law/legislation would you like to see introduced? Bring back the death penalty for people who do not repair pitch marks - scourge of the fine turf planet.
