Who are you? Andrew Beck, Head Groundsman at New Milton Cricket Club and proprietor of Strim & Trim.

Family status? Married with three grown up children.

Who's your hero and why? Ian Botham, because of his cricket and charity work.

What would you change about yourself? I would like to increase my fitness levels.

What's your guilty pleasure? Wine.

What's been the highlight of your career so far? Achieving Gold standard here at New Milton cricket ground.

Which three people, living or dead, would you invite to a dinner party? Winston Churchill, David Lloyd and Ian Botham.

If you could be anyone for a day, who would it be and why? I would be the England Football Manager and pick my own team.

Do you have any bad habits? Once my wife gives me a chocolate I will keep going!

... or any good ones? I am very disciplined.

Do you go to bed worrying about the next day's workload? No.

What are you reading at the moment? Nothing right now. I only read when on holiday, as I am generally too busy and then worn out.

What are your pet peeves? Cigarette ends and litter - anywhere.

If you could go anywhere right now, where would it be? The Maldives with my wife.

What's the best part of your job? Being outside with the elements.

… and the worst? Trying to work in high winds!

Do you have a lifetime ambition? To succeed in all that I do.

Favourite record, and why? Baby Jane by Rod Stewart, it just brings back fond memories for me.

Who would you choose to spend a romantic evening with? With my wife Helen, naturally.

If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do? Retire immediately.

If you were to describe yourself as a musical instrument, what would you be and why? I would be a drum, because I am loud.

What's the best advice you have ever been given? Look, listen and learn.

What's your favourite smell? Fresh cut grass.

What do you do in your spare time? What spare time? Watch cricket!

What's the daftest work related question you have ever been asked? What time does the one o'clock game start?

What's your favourite piece of kit? The Ransomes Commander.

What three words would you use to describe yourself? Loyal, dedicated and self-motivated.

What talent would you like to have? I have always wanted to play the piano.

What law/legislation would you like to see introduced? I would love to go back to the good old days when all the shops were shut on a Sunday - so, no Sunday trading.
