Further E-Z-GO TXT golf cars for East National GC
The East Sussex National Golf Club, situated in 1,100 acres of rolling undulating hills of the South Downs, near Uckfield in East Sussex, has recently taken delivery of an additional 25 TXT golf cars from local E-Z-GO distributor, Ernest Doe and Son Ltd. E-Z-GO is a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company.
Featuring two championship golf courses, designed by Robert E Cupp, one of Jack Nicklaus's course architects, the club has staged two European Opens and played host to some of the world's leading players including Nick Faldo, Ernie Els, Vijay Singh, Colin Montgomerie, Nick Price, John Daly and Ian Woosnam.
The East Course at 7,081 yards features a stadium layout, designed for spectators to watch tournament play making it the natural choice for the European Championship on two occasions. The par 72 West Course is longer at 7,154 yards and is framed by stands of ancient oak, streams and lakes.
Commenting on the new vehicles, general manager Derek Howe, who has been in the golf industry for more than 30 years said, "We are renowned for our immaculate customer service and these latest additions to our golf car fleet now give us a total of 50 vehicles for use by our guests.
They're comfortable, well appointed and equipped with on-board chargers, which simplifies the overnight charging of the cars. We constructed tarmac buggy paths when we built the courses back in 1990 and the cars help us regulate the pace of play so that every visitor has an enjoyable round."
