Free Groundwater Regulations Seminar

Thursday 11th November 2004 at Gay Hill Golf Club, Birmingham

Osprey Irrigation in conjunction with the water management company Hydro Scape Ltd, are holding a seminar day to introduce the new Mi-T-M Biological Wastewater Treatment System, and to discuss the legal requirements faced by all organisations on the prevention of contamination to ground water of chemicals, diesel, petrol and waste oils.

Recent changes in legislation have now made it a criminal offence to knowingly allow the discharge or disposal of certain substances, including mineral oils and chemicals such as pesticides onto the ground, where they may percolate into and contaminate groundwater.

Potential penalties for infringement of the law, could incur severe fines, together with the possibility of imprisonment in worst cases.

Part of the day is designed to help you understand a little more of the problems these regulations may present, and some of the practical measures and options you can take to ensure you comply with the law.

The programme for the day will comprise:

1030 hours Meet at Gay Hill Golf Club (Coffee and Tea).
