Stone Dominoes Football Club's Head Groundsmen Derek Trafford and his Assistant John Ikin have completed the double 2 years on the bounce! Having recently won the top award with Staffordshire FA as Groundsmen of the Year, they have now taken the Midlands and North West by storm.

On Thursday 25th March at a packed presentation at Cheshire F A's headquarters, Stone Dominoes FC picked up the prestigious award of Groundsmen of the Year for the Midlands and North West and in September they will be travelling to the National Finals in which they are down to the last 5 for the whole of England.

The Yarnfield and Meir Heath Club are sponsored by Vending Operating Company of the Year, Springbank Vending Industries Ltd, based in Stone and this accolade brings further credit to the Community of North and Mid Staffordshire.
