E-Z-GO select TEKGPS as their preferred GPS provider

E-Z-GO, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, has signed an exclusive agreement with TKV GPS Enterprise Inc., to be the preferred supplier of GPS management solutions for E-Z-GO fleet golf cars. Four distinct options are available - TKV 7E, TKV 7, TKV 7EX and TKV 10EX - for all petrol and electric E-Z-GO TXT and RXV golf cars.

The TKV GPS Management system has been specifically developed to provide effective, real-time vehicle management, multi-media communications and state-of-the art golfer conveniences. Unlike other systems within the industry, TKV has a unique 'open- platform' configuration that can evolve and grow, based on the course's need for future integrated value-added applications. It can viewed on any current technology including PC, laptop, tablet and smart phone providing a fully mobile management system that can monitor and control from any location.

TKV models are installed on the golf car canopy close to the front screen and feature the brightest screens on the market. They can be seen clearly even when wearing polarised sunglasses and use simple high-resolution, touch screen displays. Power is supplied via a built-in, high capacity internal battery, taking minimal load from the golf car's on-board battery. The systems receives automatic software updates, and TKV provides the golf facility with a standard extended care service that includes technical assistance and unlimited customer support.

The four options are as follows:

TKV 7E, aptly named after its 7-inch screen, is the standard model with a text based yardage display for the golfer. The car management includes geo-fencing and warnings (preventing the vehicle from entering prohibited areas), historic usage and pace statistics, multi-media advertising, hole-by-hole and in-car pace status plus distances to the front, centre and back of the green.

TKV 7 is the mid-level &-inch model with a text based golfer display that adds Real-Time Car Tracking and Fleet Management to the features of the standard TKV 7E. It includes the current locations of each car and tracks progress in real time, provides instant geo-fence and pace monitoring in the clubhouse or Pro Shop, two-way messaging with golfers plus remote vehicle lockdown, stopping the vehicle from moving until the Pro or Caddy master allows the vehicle to move on.

TKV 7EX has a 7-inch display and encompasses all the benefits of the TKV 7E and TKV 7 with the addition of an enhanced golfer package. The package generates a custom full colour, high-definition graphical interface of the course with added golfer features such as pro-tips, distance to pin and hazard tools plus three dimensional hole-flyovers. To help golfers avoid any accidental violations, the geo-fenced areas can be clearly displayed on the screen together with the car's actual speed and any speed limits. There is also a Food and Beverage menu with ordering options

TKV 10EX features a larger 10-inch screen that offers a deluxe visual experience and includes all the benefits of the TKV 7EX.

For the course operator TKV is an invaluable management tool. Completely web-based, it's accessible anywhere, anytime, on any device. All vehicles can be located and tracked in real time and their status - on course, recharging, in violation, locked or unlocked, battery level and pace - can be easily viewed.

Reporting functions allow both fleet and the course performance to be monitored to ensure that the golf car fleet is utilised to its maximum and the pace of play is at its optimum. These reports can be interrogated to help resolve anomalies that arise from these monitoring operations.
