Desert Turfcare sign strategic partnership with Dubai Golf
Desert Turfcare, regional distributor for Ransomes Jacobsen in the Middle East, have announced a strategic partnership agreement with Dubai Golf, the renowned leisure management company responsible for all operations at Emirates Golf Club and Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club in Dubai, UAE.
The agreement complements the existing preferred supplier agreement in place which was cemented with the supply of over 400 golf cars and an ongoing golf course machinery fleet replacement program for the two properties that span 72 holes. The agreement contracts Desert Turfcare to maintain the machinery and golf car fleets at both properties for the next five years.
Commenting on the agreement, Craig Haldane, Director of Golf Course Maintenance at Dubai Golf commented, "We are delighted to have Desert Turfcare on board to take care of our maintenance equipment.
Without a well maintained fleet of over 600 machines spread over golf course maintenance and golf operations, my team and I are unable to present the standards expected on a day-to-day basis at our facilities."
"We look forward to working alongside Desert Turfcare in the coming years which will enable us to continue presenting the standards we have proudly set over the past 25 years at Emirates Golf Club and 20 years at Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club."
The first grass course in the Middle East, the world renowned Majlis course at Emirates Golf Club, celebrates its 25th year in operation this year and the sister property, Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club it's 20th.
Both remain as premier clubs in the region and have held the prestigious Dubai Desert Classic, the final event of the annual 'Desert Swing' - the nickname given to part of the European Tour schedule that takes place in the Middle East.
