Criminal cash boost for sport

Cash seized from criminals is to be used for upgrading 19 sports facilities for youngsters across Scotland.

More than 11,000 youngsters will benefit from the facilities, which will include new synthetic pitches at some clubs.

The £1.3 million cost is being met from a Scottish Government scheme to recycle cash seized from serious organised crime into local communities.
