Cost effective Snow Clearance

Many grounds maintenance tasks are seasonal activities, which often results in costly dedicated equipment lying idle during long periods of the year. With these less frequent jobs, it makes sense where possible to purchase an attachment which can be driven off an existing power source.

A good example of this is snow clearance. In Scotland, more salt and sand spreaders are sold than in any other part of the UK to cope with the prevailing cold northern winter climate. For these inclement conditions, Etesia has the solution with their snow blade, cab and salt/sand speader attachments for their Hydro 124D ride-on rotary mower. These, plus other accessories, transform Etesia's 124cm machine into a versatile all-year-round piece of kit.

MV124 snow plough and MN124 snow chains: The hydraulically operated 135cm snow plough's blade can be angled to the right or left and lifted for transportation between sites. It is easily attached without the use of special tools. Wheel chains provide grip for quick and safe snow clearance on icy paths, roadways, car parks, play areas and other hard surfaces.

ME124 Spreader: Come winter, Etesia's rear-mounted spreader makes light work of distributing salt or sand on icy roads, walkways and other exposed sites. It is easy-to-attach and is mounted on three wheels for manoeuvrability. During the growing season, this unit is ideal for general broadcasting of fertilizer, top dressing and sand over large areas of turf and grass, such as fairways and other sports surfaces.

All-weather cab and heater: For operator comfort in cold, snowy or wet conditions, a glass-panelled cab with optional heater can be fitted to the Hydro 124D. This purpose-built unit has a front opening windscreen, which is fitted with wiper and sun visor. Access is from either side via a choice of glass or soft panelled doors. The canvas flap behind the driving position can be clipped open in warm weather. In summer months, during unpleasant hot dry spells, the cab will also protect the operator from dust and dirt.

Other accessories.
