Cambridge United wins the 2005/2006 Dream Team Competition
Kubota UK Limited is delighted to announce that Cambridge United's Abbey Stadium has won the 2005/2006 Dream Team Best Kept Winter Sports Pitch competition.
In the final held at Chelsea's world famous Stamford Bridge stadium, Chelsea's head groundsman, Jason Griffin, who was also one of the competition judges, announced that Cambridge United had beaten Rushden and Diamonds, Durham City and Hyde United. The winner received the prestigious prize of a Kubota B1610 compact tractor and Charterhouse Verti-Drain 7110 with a combined value of over £16,000.
Winning groundsman Ian Darler commented "This will make a tremendous difference to everyone at Cambridge United. The judging process was almost like a therapy session for me as although the judges from clubs such as Chelsea, Newcastle and Blackburn may have far greater budgets we all suffer the same problems only on differing scales - it certainly made me feel that I was not alone!".
For further information on the Dream Team competition winner, the range of petrol and diesel ride-on mowers, tractors up to 105hp and the RTV900 rough terrain utility vehicle available from Kubota call: 0800 023 1111, email: sales@kubota.co.uk or visit: www.kubota.co.uk.
