Broadway GC purchase four new E-Z-GO RXV Golf Cars
Martyn Freeman, the PGA Professional at Broadway Golf Club, near Evesham in Worcestershire, has taken delivery of four electric RXV golf cars from TH White Ltd, the local E-Z-GO distributor for the region.
The new golf cars, which include the latest technological advances from E-Z-GO, have been purchased to supplement the two existing TXT golf cars at the Club. "These new buggies are the club's response to members' requests to increase the fleet," said Martyn Freeman. "Electric buggies are popular with the members because they are much quieter and less intrusive than the petrol versions and they also enable some of the less active members the opportunity to continue to play the game.
"These new machines are certainly packed with some excellent features such as the automatic braking system, which ensures that the brakes are applied when the buggy stops and the regenerative braking system which puts energy back into the batteries.
"The AC technology in the electric motor also means that they are very efficient and we can easily get 36 holes out of one charge. This means that if a buggy is late back in the evening, we can confidently send it out again the following morning, without overnight recharging, if the demand is there."
The club has just constructed a secure parking area with dedicated charging points to ensure that the golf cars are managed as efficiently as possible.
"Members pay £10 per round, while visitors are charged £25," Martyn Freeman added. "Properly managed, which means charged, cleaned and visible to everyone, we not only provide a service to the golfers, but generate an income stream that is additional revenue to the club."
