Bridgnorth Golf Club go MOX

Continuing their success in supplying golf courses with turf maintenance machinery on operating leases, MOX have won a further order to the value of £150,000 for Bridgnorth Golf Club in Shropshire. The order, consisting mainly of Toro grass cutting equipment, also included a Toro Workman, a tractor and top dresser.

As is normally the procedure, the local dealer, in this case Oakleys Groundcare of Shrewsbury, supplied the machines. MOX arranged the finance, and the installation, training and after sales service was carried out jointly between Oakleys and MOX with support from Toro. This formula has been very successful with both MOX and the supplying dealer bringing their particular expertise to the sale with the customer getting the best deal possible. Although the majority of the machines purchased were on a five year operating lease, the tractor and top dresser, having a much longer working life, were on an ordinary finance lease and will eventually become the property of the golf club.

Gordon Kelsall, Honorary Secretary commented. "Needing to replace most of our course equipment, we looked long and hard at what product we should purchase and from whom. Like any members' club, we were looking for a competitive price but that wasn't all. More importantly, we were looking for products that would enable us to maintain and even improve the high standards of the course and a level of after sales service that would guarantee us trouble free operation throughout the working lives of the machine. The arrangement that we have with both MOX and Oakleys we believe will give us exactly what we are looking for."
